Meeting 8/21

This Thursday we will be holding a meeting in room 314. It will be from 11-12. We will be introducing the two teacher sponsors. Try and be there!

We Need Your Help!

We are in need of students to help take the collected recycling materials to the recycling center. Dry Gulch Recycling Center is located off Harry Hines Blvd. in Dallas, not far at all from the school. You can get directions here: Dry Gulch

Due to the local construction, we aren't able to have a recycling dumpster at the school. So for now, we must take it to the recycling center. This is very important because we run out of space to keep the bags of recycling materials while waiting for someone to take it.

If anyone is interested in donating some of their time to help collect or deliver the recycling materials, please email BRICE.BAUM@GMAIL.COM. We need all the help we can get.

P.S. I saw something in the news about vinyl shower curtains being dangerous. Read this. You can find better shower curtains that aren't bad for you or the environment. I recently got a biodegradable "plastic" one for less than $10.

Welcome to the new Blog for the Recycling Club at the Art Institute of Dallas. Our group's purpose is to help the Art Institute be as environmentally friendly as possible, encourage recycling throughout the school, and help clean up around Dallas.
